2025/26 AWARDS
We held our annual presentation evening last night at Top Field. This years event was a slightly different format to previous years and so due to limited space we were unfortunately unable to open the event up for all supporters to be able to attend. Club officials, players, staff, volunteers and guests gathered to celebrate the season. This also gave us the opportunity to reward our volunteers for all of their hard work during the season with a 2 course meal served by the team from The Canary Kitchen.
We started by being able to make a draw for two of our volunteers to win a pair of ticket each to this Saturday’s FA Cup Final at Wembley. As a club we are able to purchase these tickets from the FA and it seemed a small way in which we could give our volunteers an opportunity to win these and be rewarded for their efforts this season.
The awards presented on the night were:
Matthew Malarowski Award – this award was presented to Noah Harper. Noah joined the matchday volunteer team initially as part of the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme. On completion of this Noah has continued to volunteer every matchday and is keen to continue learning more all the time and taking on additional responsibilities. Noah is a great example of a young volunteer who we hope will continue to develop over many years to come.

Clubman Award – this award was presented to Nick Sopowski. Quietly and often un-noticed Nick puts in a huge amount of effort behind the scenes to ensure all the logistics are in place for the team both at Top Field and when we are away from home. Most days of the week Nick is doing something to ensure that everything the players need for a matchday is ready for them – including a plentiful supply of water, sweets and chocolate!

Players’ Player of the Season – A vote that showed the impact he has had on his team mates this season – the winner was Lewis Franklin.

Manager’s Player of the Season – Michael selected Charlie Briggs for this award after he has made a huge contribution in defence since joining last summer.

Supporters’ Player of the Season – the supporters’ vote mirrored the player’s vote with Lewis Franklin clinching this award by only a handful of votes.

Goal of the Season – we had a fair few to select from this season, but in the end the winner was Callum Kane with his goal against Thame United in the Play-Off Semi Final.

Most Assists – next up we celebrated the player with the most “assists” this season – that was Callum Nicolson.

Golden Boot – with a huge 31 goals in all competitions, the golden boot winner was of course – Taylor Rhiney.

Worst Trainer – finally it was the worst trainer award. This is accumulated over the course of the season based on the results of the training match played at Thursday’s training session each week. Last year’s recipient Toby Syme had great pleasure in presenting the award to this year’s winner Ciaren Jones!

A truly exceptional season from a truly exceptional team of players and volunteers.
