Hitchin Town’s very own version of Garden Rescue has been going on over the last few weeks and Charlie Dimmock and the Rich brothers would have been proud of the end result.

Allison, a member of our friendly team of bar staff, together with her family members and friends have undertaken a labour of love in transforming the old garden from an overgrown tired space into an attractive outside area with seating, shade and subtle lighting for those Indian Summer evenings we are hoping for in September. To entertain our younger patrons there is even a separate play area for supervised children. All tables are socially distanced and table service is operated.

So, if you are thinking about popping out for a cooling drink on one of those balmy Hitchin days in late summer, why not try our Rose garden down at the Canary Club? Chilled lagers, ciders, soft drinks and real ales and no hassle with parking. With draught beer around ÂŁ3 a pint, how can you go wrong?

And fear not, if the weather turns, there is plenty of room in the function room to decamp to. Our big screen shows all the top sporting action from Sky and BT Sports and if you would rather participate than watch, why not shoot some pool, throw a few “arrers” or score a hat trick on the newly installed football table. Free gloves provided.

Everyone is welcome, so why not give us a try soon?
