CANARY KITCHEN DEVELOPMENTS
Over the past year of lockdowns and restrictions we as a company have adapted our previous mobile catering business to one that has a permanent presence in our home town of Hitchin. We started with using one of our units as a delivery kitchen for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the industrial area and have built up our reputation on JustEat and with local businesses over the past eight months.
As the football season and event season is about to start up again, our current Canary Kitchen container that was present on the football ground during last season will be off to events (fingers crossed) so we discussed the option to move our cafe / takeaway unit to the football club, meaning we can continue to serve at the football games as well as operate our delivery and walk up kitchen. We can now also offer a food table service to the Canary Club customers through our ordering system.
There are various ways to order from us. Firstly you can order from the comfort of your own home or workplace, via JustEat – Mobile Munchies Group, or through our direct ordering system, www.goodeats.io/munchies, where you can select collection or delivery for free. Secondly you can pop over and see us in the back car park, next to the pitch at Hitchin Town Football Club. We are here from 8am – 8.30pm Monday – Friday, and 10am – 9.30pm Saturdays. Alternatively you can enjoy a drink at the Canary Club, and order some food from your table, by scanning the QR code on each table and entering your table number in the order notes, and we will bring it in to you.
Our menu ranges from breakfast wraps, pastries and panini to pizza, chicken and burgers and this is available all day. We pride ourselves on our barista coffee, which you can add syrups and alternative milks to, as well as some healthy fruit smoothies, thick milkshakes and the childhood favourite slush puppies.
We feel that our move here has provided us and the football club with a fantastic range of catering opportunities, from match day food, table service in the Canary Club, home delivery and buffets for event hire in the Canary Club’s hall.
We are really looking forward to our next chapter at the football club and meeting all of our new customers.
The food choices at football games are the same as last year, plus the addition of chicken bake, steak bake and cheese and onion bake pastries. Also, we have added mozzarella sticks, jalapeno poppers and onion rings, as well as a vegan hot dog. Our coffees are now all barista coffees with a choice of milks as well as a wide range of syrups.
I the new daytime and evening menus are shown below. These come with QR codes for Canary Club customers to scan and order direct to their table, or alternatively they can simply come round to our service window at the unit in the rear car park to order.
