CIDER & CHEESE FESTIVAL STARTS TODAY

Our Canary Club bar will once again be hosting the wonderful Cider and Cheese Festival, opening today (Friday 12th) at 2pm and continuing tomorrow, kindly sponsored by Internet Services & Communications Provider IDNet.

It will be FREE entry to all with a wonderful selection of Ciders and Cheese, as well as some real ale for those that are looking for something different. It will still be the same system of purchasing the drink as last year, via the token card system which can be purchased within the hall.

The Little Deli from Hermitage Road, Hitchin will also be in attendance to meet your hunger pangs. Louise has some beautiful Cheese on offer, plus we also hope to offer some locally homemade Scotch Eggs and Sausage Rolls.

Friday Night kicks off at 5pm with the fantastic Sandy Ukulele Band who were great fun last year, followed by a Wurzel tribute band, The Twerzels.

Saturday will see a huge array of local talent. The wonderful Glee Club Choir will start at 2pm followed by two bands which have been formed by local school boys. The event will also feature The Lucky Men, Shaun Clark, Elliot Rose and The Hot Tub Steps. All of these local talent play original and cover music including The Beatles, Maroon 5, Bowie, Paul Weller, Tina Turner, The Ramones and more. They have all kindly offered their professional services for the Club and will showcase their music, we are thrilled to be able to welcome them all.

The Volunteers have really gone all out this year to make it a musical and tasting success, so we hope to see many people from the local community turn out to show their support. The Saturday is also the day we welcome Wealdstone to Top Field for a pre-season friendly, so we look forward to welcoming those attending the match into this event too.

Opening times on both days will be 2pm – 11pm.
