We are excited to confirm that plans for the Cider and Cheese Festival on 14th and 15th July are well under way. The Festival kicks off from noon to 11pm on Saturday 14th in the Canary Club, and restarts from noon to 9pm on Sunday 15th.

Tickets: Tickets are £4, including a souvenir non-returnable festival glass. Advance tickets for Saturday can be purchased here and for Sunday here.

Sponsors: We are grateful to have the support of IDNet, they having agreed to act as title sponsor of the event as well as lending support behind the scene and in the promotion of the Festival, which we hope will be one of the highlights of the Hitchin Festival this year.

We hope to encourage other local businesses to add their support as well – with sponsorship starting at £50 to sponsor one cider box. The £50 package secures 2 free tickets for each day, 2 free glasses, 2 free pints each day, naming rights on a cider box, a link on the Cider Festival page on our website, and featuring in the tasting notes.

Anyone interested in sponsoring should contact Alan Clark on 07772056715 or at alansuec@gmail.com.

Cider and cheese: We’ll be sharing more information soon about the 40 different ciders that will be on offer, but they will include award-winning ciders by Baldock-based Apple Cottage Cider. The Canary Club will also be selling real ales and other drinks at their fully stocked bar.

The cheese will come from locally-based Wobbly Bottom Farm. Soul Shack – who sponsor Hitchin Town Ladies Football Club – will also be bringing their American comfort food to the event.

Music: There will be music on Saturday evening from the Sandy Ukelele Group, and Sunday (artistes tbc).
