CLUB DONATIONS WELCOME

The COVID-19 pandemic is leading to unprecedented effects on our normal way of life. Individuals, businesses and sport are facing very difficult challenges and there does not look like being any short-term solutions.

Hitchin Town Football Club is struggling like so many football clubs across the country. No football is being played and our main sources of income have disappeared with no match day receipts while our social club has had to shut. This has all come after a difficult season when we had a number of Saturday home games postponed due to the wettest winter for many years which had hit our cash flow.

Despite the loss of our income streams various costs still have to be paid including utilities, ground maintenance and insurance. With this in mind we would encourage our supporters to continue to support the club where possible and one initiative the club have launched is an online 50/50 draw which will be held on a regular basis.

We have now launched a donations page via our partners ticketing site, which can be viewed by clicking here. This means you can help the club for as little as £5 and any amount you can spare will be help secure the future of Hitchin Town Football Club. Should anyone wish to donate more than £500 please contact me by email at roy.izzard@hitchintownfc.club.

Our history dates back to 1865 and we celebrated 150 years of football in Hitchin in 2015. We are an integral part of the local community and no other sports club or entertainment group attract a larger regular attendance. The march to save Top Field in 2014 when so many Hitchin residents joined in showed just how important the club is to the town. It is essential there is a Hitchin Town Football Club for future generations so we must survive the current crisis.

If you can help by making a donation, you will be playing your part in ensuring our future. We’re very grateful for any support you can offer.
