A further two players from last season’s squad are returning to Top Field next season.

Elliot Bailey and Jack Green are two young exciting players that unfortunately suffered injury during the last campaign but are both on the road to recovery.

Both players joined the club at the start of last season. Elliot signed from Barton Rovers having started as a junior at St Albans City and also appeared for Dunstable Town and Ware. Despite his injuries, he finished last season as the top scorer with 14 goals including a hat-trick against Bishops Stortford.

Jack first signed for the Canaries during last summer from St Albans City, having also played for Barton Rovers. He scored twice on his competitive start (against St Albans in the Charity Cup) but lost half the campaign to injury, returning in April having gained game time at Berkhamsted.

Mark Burke said:

“With Jay Dowie, Lucas Kirkpatrick, Elliot and Jack all agreeing to return next season, it will be like making 4 new signings. I am delighted these two youngsters are committed to next season as I believe they both have a huge amount of potential.”
