Hitchin v Cheshunt 1949

I met Cheshunt official Jim Tuite at our Herts Senior Cup game last Tuesday and he agreed to send me two photos he had from the Hitchin v Cheshunt game which was played on 12th March 1949 — 73 years ago! I hope the photos are of interest to our supporters.

Top Field looks very different with big industrial buildings in the background. Can anyone tell which end of the ground this is? The game was in the Herts Senior Cup and Cheshunt won 4-1 with Larry Dolan scoring for Hitchin.
