INTERNET RADIO COMMENTARY FROM TOP FIELD
This Thursday 2nd August, 7.30pm, will see Hitchin Town FC take to the airwaves with live commentary of the pre-season friendly between Hitchin Town FC and Maldon & Tiptree FC.
Our very own Brian Gray whom many of you will know from our tannoy will be leading the commentary with Freddie Cardy, one of our youth supporters. We hope that those of you who cannot make it to the match for various reasons will listen in and support Hitchin Town FC and North Herts FM. We will, throughout the season, be bringing matches to your home via the internet link below; these will be advertised in advance. We also hope that the technology will allow us to be able to transmit from some away matches in the not too distant future.
North Herts FM is THE local community radio station for North Herts. Run by and for local people. Even though North Herts FM has only been on air 4 months, the station already attracts around 4,000 listeners per month. North Herts FM mission is to create a valuable and sustainable resource for the community of North Herts, supporting local people, charities and businesses and they are fiercely pro Community. They are developing a mobile studio to take to local events and already work closely with a number of great local initiates such as Herts Pride and ourselves, to help realise their goals.
Download the Android/Apple app (Search for “North Herts FM”) or listen on the website at www.northhertsfm.com or find the link on this website under ‘Supporters > North Herts FM’ within the navigation menu.
This will be an invaluable resource for those of you who will be unable to travel if the weather is bad, supporters who live abroad, on holiday or anyone who cannot make the match for whatever reason. The Hitchin Town FC twitter feed will still bring updates, but this will provide up to date information on the chosen matches. I know that Brian has put a huge amount of work into providing you all with interesting and entertaining facts; there will be interviews and hopefully audience participation. They will welcome your questions via Twitter.
We really are looking forward to this joint venture with North Herts FM and we really hope that you will support our commentators as they begin this new journey into the 21st Century and also support the radio station before, during and after the matches. Their shows cater for every musical taste and fully support local events and unsigned artists. To get involved with them listen in at www.northhertsfm.com.
