Hitchin Town Football Club are pleased to announce a brand-new children’s zone at Top Field – a place for Junior Canaries and their families to play games and create memories.
Called The Aviary, this new, outdoor play area will be a fantastic place for Junior Canaries to socialise and have fun – all in view of the pitch – and our younger fans will have access to many games and activities, including:
- Giant Connect 4
- Giant Kerplunk
- Ball target game
- Basketball game
- Chalkboard and chalks
- Activity sheets
There will also be several photo opportunities to make the matchday experience truly special, including an autographed Players’ Wall and a chance to take a photo with a football trophy, albeit an inflatable one! Junior Canaries can also expect to see a playhouse, teepee and beanbags so they can sit and watch the game, while discussing all things football of course!
In keeping with The Aviary’s bird theme, the area will be bright, colourful and welcoming, with bird and wildlife decorations creating the overall feel of the space. We will also have artwork from local schools on display and a designated post-box so that our Junior Canaries have the opportunity to write to Mark Burke and the team.
Supporter Engagement Officer, Sascha Gustard-Brown said:
“I am really excited that this project has been given the green light and I cannot wait to get started on implementing all of the fantastic decorations and games that we have already sourced. With the club recently announcing a new identity, which has seen the Canary returning to the crest, it’s a great opportunity to transition that important return to our offering for Junior Canaries and their families.”
We cannot wait to see all of our wonderful supporters back at Top Field and we hope The Aviary provides something special to the matchday experience.
