It is with great regret that Callum will be stepping down as First Team manager of Hitchin Town Ladies FC. Having stepped in as manager in the 2017/2018 season he has restored the enjoyment and winning ways back to the Ladies. I am pleased to say he won’t be going far as he’ll be within our Club working alongside the committee moving the club forward. It was a pleasure asking him to take on the role and I look forward to watching him progress HTLFC further.

“I am not too sure how I feel writing this for yourselves. The 2019/2020 season has come to an end and due to the demands of my career I have to step down as manager of Hitchin Town Ladies FC. I have watched this team grow, develop and play some incredible football. The best being playing for the crest they wear on their shirt. I have met some incredible people along the way through my time as manager.

When I came in as manager we had half a squad of players signed on, no home pitch and a very low bank account. Looking at the end of this season we have two teams over forty players signed on and a great home facility. The players have given me everything that I asked for and more during my time as manager and the support I have had from the committee has been great. I have been very lucky to receive support from Annie and Richard to manage the team in my absence. Richard has been working with the ladies through the season and we feel he is best suited to the role.

I look forward to helping the club develop in the seasons to come.”

I am also pleased to announce that Richard Klausner will be entering the hot-seat as First Team manager from the 2020/21 season. Richard has worked with the ladies during the 2019/20 season and I look forward to seeing the ladies achieving much more.

“It is with great pleasure I take on the role as First team manager of Hitchin Town Ladies FC next season. I want to thank Callum for all the hard work and commitment he has put in to the team over the last couple of seasons to get this team to its highest ever finishing position in Division One. I will do my best to progress this team onto bigger and better things next season. I will be hoping to bring in a few new additional players to the team and will strive to do everything in my power to help this team become more successful than it already has been. This will only be possible with help from all the back room staff and committee to help make this coming season a great season for Hitchin Town Ladies FC.”

The future is looking bright
