Lewis Rolfe is leaving Hitchin Town FC, it was announced today. Lewis joined for the start of 2013-14 season from Chesham United along with Matt Lench and Sam Barker.

Over five seasons, he has made 259 appearances for the Canaries – playing in the centre of defence, full back and midfield (and once in goal!) – scoring 20 goals.

He was recently presented with a commemorative plate for reaching 250 games.

Canary manager Mark Burke said, “I would like to thank Lewis for his service to the Club, he has been an important and integral member of the squad since I first took over. He has grown in stature and developed into a popular character with the staff, players, club officials and supporters. I hope he has enjoyed his time with us and despite some downs over the years I will have many fond memories of him. Good luck to the ‘Camel’.”
