Lucas Kirkpatrick a product of the successful youth set up at Hitchin has decided to call it a day on his Canary career. Dogged by injury last season Lucas has not hit the heights of previous seasons over the past 12 months and has seen his appearances limited since returning from a long term injury sustained at the end of last season.

Manager Mark Burke said:

“Lucas has been a great servant to the Club having made his debut as young teenager and he has been with me since the beginning of my journey into management. I have enjoyed working with him and hopefully I have helped him develop as both a player and a man. However, his playing time has been limited due to injury and lack of form and unfortunately he was not prepared to stay and try to fight for his place but rather look for a new challenge and kick start his career. I would like to wish him the best of luck for the future and no doubt our paths will cross once again’”
