Matchday Mascots

We welcome matchday mascots at Top Field and have opportunities available for most fixtures.

If you would like to register your interest in this, please download and complete the Mascot Request Form (2022/23), before emailing it to mascots@hitchintownfc.club, stating the fixture you’re interested in applying for, along with any mascot information that you would like included in the programme.

We ask that the following protocols are followed:

In advance of Match Day:

1. The maximum number of the party can be 24 and the children to adult ratio must be at least 1:1, (i.e. number of adults cannot exceed the number of children in the party), with a maximum of 3 children per one adult.

2. Any additional adults accompanying the party must buy their own tickets separately online in advance of match day and scan their tickets to enter the ground via the Fishponds Road turnstiles. They should not attempt to enter the ground at the side gate with the party.

3. Notification of the responsible Party Leader (with an email contact) and the numbers of Adults and Children in the party must be sent to Mick Docking (mickdocking@gmail.com) at least 48 hours in advance of kick-off.

4. Mick to send this notification to Kate Deller at least 24 hours in advance of kick off, also advising Kate which Club Representative will be meeting the party at the side gate. This should be planned for no later than 2:15pm.

On Match Day:

5. The party MUST, for safety reasons, assemble on the Butts Road green opposite the turnstiles. They CANNOT assemble outside the turnstiles on Fishponds Road or in the Top Field Car Park. This is a safety hazard.

6. When ALL of the party has arrived, and ONLY WHEN ALL of the party has arrived, they must make their way to the SIDE GATE in the Top Field Car Park to be met by a Club representative and enter the ground . Numbers will be counted in by one of the turnstiles operation team.

7. If the party leader is a holder of a Club Season Ticket, they MUST scan this to facilitate their own entry and not count themselves in as one of the Mascots’ party.

Other Safety/Safeguarding matters:

8. When in the ground, the children in the party must remain in the presence of the adults they are accompanying and cannot be allowed to roam off on their own. This is a Club Safeguarding regulation on Match Days.

9. It is the full responsibility of the party leader to ensure the organisation and full safety of their party throughout their visit to Top Field. The Club cannot be responsible for the supervision of the children.
