A WELCOME VISIT FROM OUR CHARITIES
Our last home match against Bromsgrove saw the most welcome visit of representatives from our chosen Charities this season. Despite the very chilly weather, we were honoured by the presence of Caroline and Steve Howells from Garden House Hospice, Marc Campbell from Stevenage Haven and Ros Cramp from Herts Sports Disability Foundation. Sadly Ros was on walkabout when the group picture was taken so she is pictured separately below. The main picture features Chairman Terry Barratt, Mick Docking and our MOM of the afternoon Daniel Idiakhoa (that lad will do anything to get into a photo!).
We hope to find a date in March/April that can further focus on these wonderful charities and raise some much needed funds for them too. In the meantime they will be only too pleased to receive donations – their details are printed below.
To kick things off we have agreed to support the Hospices’ Charlie Chicken Easter promotion, which basically involves selling knitted chicks (in yellow and green naturally) at the Club Shop and in the Clubhouse. Look out for an announcement regarding their availability.
