Brett Donnelly put pen to paper last night to confirm his returned to the club in a player/coach capacity ahead of the 2019-20 season. Brett was in a similar role at Biggleswade Town last season but has decided to move back to his hometown side after just one season away across the border in Bedfordshire.
The hard-working striker will sign on as a player, but his role will predominantly be of First Team coach, with his vast experience in non-league football a massive bonus for a predominantly young Hitchin Town squad.
Brett has previously made 198 appearances for the Canaries and scored 52 goals – one of only 40 players in the history of the club to surpass the 50-goal landmark.
One more, completely new arrival, will be announced in an hour. Finally, don’t forget the early bird offer has been extended until this Saturday, 6th July, so act fast to grab your season ticket at the reduced prices – click here to buy now.
