As many of you know we have recently been awarded the FA Charter Standard for an Adult Club. We are naturally proud of this achievement for the Club, and in going forward from there we are now working on trying to create the best matchday experience possible for all those who attend Hitchin Town matches at Top Field.

But we can’t achieve this without creating a team of dedicated volunteers. We currently have two specific areas on Match Day where we seek to increase our team numbers to help us with this.

The two roles where we particularly and urgently seek more volunteers to help on Match Day are:

1. Turnstile Operators
To operate the turnstiles on Match Day. The job could be either selling tickets or operating the Pass gate, which handles all advance online sales tickets purchased, season tickets and complimentary tickets.
Volunteer Role Description – Turnstile Operator

2. Board Room Hospitality
To be part of a team that provides pre-match and half-time hospitality to a number of Club guests on Match Day.
Volunteer Role Description – Board Room Hospitality

Both of these roles are representing the Club as part of its match day experience, so it is important that those who volunteer for these roles have a liking for meeting people, as there will be plenty of interface with the Club’s customers.

For a more detailed description of what is involved in each role and the level of commitment we are looking for, you can download the attached role description(s). Please note that both roles cover pre-match and up to and during half time, so they may suit someone who is not necessarily a supporter of the Club.

So if you know anyone who may be interested, please ensure they can see the details.
