Hitchin have re-signed Matt Nolan and he’ll be available for the Coalville game this Saturday. Matt previously played for Hitchin from 1999 to 2003, coming through our academy system. In his five seasons he scored 52 goals in 146 appearances.
He then left Hitchin for Peterborough United and appeared only briefly before being released at the age of 23. However, Nolan has always had his fair share of suitors and has played for numerous clubs including Lowestoft, Telford, Kings Lynn, Ballymena, Cambridge City, Corby Town, St. Neots, Cheham, Hemel Hempstead and Royston.
Manager Mark Burke commented:
”Matt Nolan is my new Simon Martin / Brett Donnelly who will impart his experience to the young strikers we have at the Club and be the father figure Ginger, Digger and Springy have been in the past. Matt will be available from the Coalville match onwards.”
