The Arena in Baldock is our community training facility with full size floodlit 3G pitch, covered spectator seating, changing rooms, meeting room, bar and lounge, all available for hire.
Situated less than a ten-minute walk from Baldock train station and 5-10 minutes’ drive from either junction 9 or 10 of the A1(M), and with ample parking, it is perfectly located for all your football needs.
The pitch can be divided by a netting system into thirds, ideal for 7-a-side training and tournaments, or of course can be hired in full for 11-a-side matches and other events.
We host numerous local teams for their Winter training, as well as one-off events through the Summer such as family days, team building events, corporate tournaments, Charity matches, birthday parties and much more. We have even been known to host a music festival or two! There are endless options for hire.
The Arena is also the base for our Community Coaches, many of whom are Hitchin Town 1st Team players & coaching staff. As well as running various clubs in local schools and providing PPA cover & wrap-around care, a number of courses & clinics also run at The Arena throughout term-time, and the HTFC Football Fun Camps during school holidays.
We also offer children’s football birthday party packages which can be tailored to suit your needs, with options to book our coaches to run the session, and have your birthday food supplied by our very own Canary Kitchen. The birthday child will receive a special HTFC present and card.
In addition to all of the above, The Arena is also home to Pro:Direct Hitchin, a full-time football and education programme for 16-18 year olds. Students study for an NCFE Level 3 in Sport around weekly development games and high-quality training from UEFA A & B coaches. Opportunities are available to represent Pro:Direct Academy in showcase games and events up and down the country.
