Opposition Directory

Although Hitchin Town finished in the relegation places of the 2023/24 Southern League Premier Central, the Club were reprieved owing to Coalville Town’s voluntary resignation. This means we remain at step three for a 14th consecutive season.

2024/25 will see the Canaries lock horns with some familiar faces, as well as brand new opposition. Following their respective promotions, league meetings with local rivals Biggleswade Town and Bedford Town will return to the fixture list, whilst we face brand new opposition in Leicestershire side Harborough Town. We’ll also encounter a first league meeting with Spalding United, having only played them once before in the FA Trophy back in 1979.

On the road it’ll be many a regular trip back to the midlands this season. The 16-mile trip to Biggleswade Town will be our closest away day, with the 121-mile journey to Suffolk club Lowestoft Town being our furthest. The longest journey across the division will be the 217 miles (a 434-mile round trip) from Lowestoft Town in the East to AFC Telford in the West.
