Alan Millard

Very sad to see that Alan Millard, photographer (and very nice guy) for the Comet for over 40 years passed away recently. Will always remember him as always there, camera, notepad (& pencil behind the ear) at the ready. R.I.P. Alan.

Congratulations for winning Anthony - I reckon you deserve it for keeping the Forum going almost single handed at times since the season was curtailed!

Re: History Today

Hi Anthony, yes I saw the show last night, picked up the Hitchin mention (also noticed the letters were post marked "Welwyn") but didn't realise that it was the son of W T Lucas.

Re: Hitchin F.C: An Auspicious Beginning

Thanks so much for doing all this Anthony, it is all brilliant stuff. Fred at 93 is not very mobile and certainly missing H.T.F.C. He is currently quite frail and obviously house bound so I am printing various items from the main website, not least your items on the forum such as this thread and all...

Given today is the anniversary of Shakespeare's death and possibly, but not definitely the anniversary of his birth, a good bit of lockdown reading would be to see if you can get right through his complete works before lockdown ends!

 big clap for Brett's end of season blog, really lifted the spirits, haven't laughed out load for ages, well done Brett, but I think it could mean more work for you as I am sure you are now going to have to write a book about your life in football  it would be brilliant, i know I wou...
