John Smith R.I.P

He and I became friends in 1961, both working at ICL and we were both dedicated Hitchin Town FC supporters watching many games together both home and away. When John retired to live in Weymouth and la...

Re: Evo stik comes unstuck

I wonder if the Southern League clubs have received the eight page document that the Isthmian League clubs have and what our response might be. :nono: :nono: https://www.nonleaguematters.co.uk/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_view_flat;post=933601;page=1;mh=-1;;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC Please go to end o...

Re: Evo stik comes unstuck

From Non League Matters and our Isthmian League colleagues, and more apparent problems. "It is all a bit of a mess. Prior to this morning we had only received a couple of contradicting emails from BV and the Isthmian admins on what we were to do with the website etc. As of last night, 9 of the clubs...

Re: FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round

Biggleswade (FC) require a ground grading as under to play at Step 4. NATIONAL GROUND GRADING - CATEGORY D (Appropriate to NLS Step 4) Therefore I assume they have a ground sharing deal with Biggleswade Town, as FC & Town are shown as playing at the same location along the Langford Road according to...

FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round

I note that Biggleswade having dropped the 'FC' are now plying their trade in the Southern League Division One Central and will now play in the FA Cup. They have been drawn at home to Mildenhall Town in the Extra Preliminary Round, Winner collects £2,250, Losers collect £750. The winner of the above...

Re: Brackley Town

I well remember using the clubhouse and then getting well beaten, 3-0, 2011-12. I think a Mr Winter was in the Brackley team, and was still playing recently for Banbury. Think he has just moved on to new club.
