Five year bond

Strikes me that for non-league football, this is a Noah's ark moment. In other words, a lot of clubs will disappear if we are not careful. Cash is obviously a big problem - why not offer a five-year season ticket that will get money up front? Alternatively, a bond issue that fans can buy and get rep...

Re: Southern League Premier Central East

If you compare what we’ve been through to a wartime/crisis economy, then football will have to be regionalised at “non necessary” level. In other words, nonleague should be even more regionalised. This virus will change everything and it will set a precedent for similar situations, I can see lockdow...

Re: Lockdown Reading

The Zentral Friedhof cemetery is worth a visit if you haven't been there. It is an A-Z of classical composers for starters. I found the grave of a very famous Austrian footballers, Matthias Sindelar, whose story is v interesting. Fresh flowers are always on his grave.

Re: Lockdown Reading

I've been to that cemetery, Anthony, searching for a grave!

Re: FRED ANDREWS

Sad to hear, Fred was one of the most decent people I've met at Hitchin Town, he had good values, was as honest as the day was long and he was a very genuine person. No club is rich enough to take the loss of people like Fred easily. He will be sorely missed. My best wishes to Stuart and the Andrews...

Re: Key Moments in our History

Sorry Anthony, I haven't been following this, had no idea it had blown up out of proportion - if apology is needed, then I am sorry, I was wrong in saying you were incorrect. As for "abominable", I would say that the club's insistence that it was formed in 1865 should be more of an issue. However, I...

Re: Key Moments in our History

I think you're wrong, Anthony. I got this information from the archives in the library. There was literally no information around 1868.
What was your source, I'd be interested to know.
Best

Re: AN END TO THE INDEFENSIBLE AT LAST?

When I played I would always have a tissue tucked inside my shorts as I have always been a runny-nosed kid! Spitting is a fairly modern thing on the pitch - they never used to do it (I am talking pre-WW2) and other sports people don't do it. As my article says, exertion does produce mucous, but it i...

Is it the old Kingstonian ground Richmond Road? Recognise the houses behind the goal.
Is that you Mick, looking suave in camel?
