Re: Prediction - LOWESTOFT

We as usual showed once again that we are unable to breakdown teams that are set up to defend. We go at them and leave gaps that leave us vulnerable to the counter attack. Barwell was the exception where a visiting team brought the game to us and for once left us with plenty of room to exploit at th...

Re: History Today

The Gordan Guile of 1959 was quick and quite an aggresive player, but his opportunities in his favourite position on the left wing were few and far between as Tony Horne was usually preferred. Tony was a very cultured winger and together with Tommy Everitt and Johnny Graves formed arguably the best ...

Re: Prediction - NUNEATON

He also mentioned the ball hitting Webb's hand but omitted to mention that it was deflected off the latter's head whilst also failing to mention that just a minute earlier the ball struck a borough defender's hand in their box, admittedly from close quarters but his hand was held out. Then he also f...

Re: Vs Bedfont

Thought their keeper was man of the match following his second half display which definately prevented us from securing an otherwise deserved victory.

Re: Classic Hitchin

That Coalville's shots kept amazingly going straight to Charlie Horlock tends to underate the latters very fine positional sense. It was something that we remarked on during the game. He is not that often forced to make difficult saves as he nearly always seems to be in the right position to gather ...

Re: Classic Hitchin

Fantastic result. My only gripe is that if we had anyone up front capable of putting the ball in the back of the net we would have won by a cricket score.

Rock Bottom

Really depressing. We keep signing new players, many of who have already disappeared, but are still no nearer to finding one who can put the ball into the back of the net. Before today Leiston had conceded an average of four goals a game in the league. How many did we manage against them, a pitiful ...

Re: Today’s game

Best game of the season so far, but we still need to be more clinical in front of goal. If a reliable goal scorer can't be found giving Webby a run up front could be worth a try. He's probably the second highest scorer all ready and we have defenders like Lewis Ferrell and Joe Gauge who are currentl...

Re: Prediction - TAMWORTH

In the games I have seen we have come up against teams that seem to have a more professional approach than us. They have been set up defensively perhaps to make sure they go away with at least a point. They then have caught us on the break scoring goals that have usually shown a clinical element tha...
