Some excellent points, Chris. Yes, the club may well have to change attitudes to survive - even at Level 3.

Despite the difficulties of being a Level 2 clubs, other clubs do make the jump successfully. Yes, it would require a complete change of attitude within the club, but even Hitchin are not beyond that possibility.

I would suggest that the same attitudes have been ingrained in the club for the last 50 years. Many fans consider that is what loyalty truly is; to think otherwise is to be disloyal. I suggest those targets are already in place, even if informally. Last season was a 'successful" season using your criteria.
