Thank you but just standing in whilst others were unavailable.

The youngsters are doing a great job.

HTFC 2 Nuneaton Borough 1

Just to say Well Done to Burkey and the boys yesterday. A very close and hard fought victory. Two sublime finishes by Callum and a hard working performance from the whole team especially the back four who kept Nuneaton at bay for so long. Best moment of the game was the players celebrations after do...

Re: John Pardoe: Local Hero

I visited the Reverend Pardoe's memorial on Saturday, at Graveley church. His stone records that he was the rector there; but I wonder if the Graveley residents realise that he was once a noted footballer? Hi Anthony Thank you for all your excellent postings on the history of Hitchin FC. Going a li...

Re: Gareth Southgate

I don't think Gareth Southgate has advocated support for any political party or made a political statement.

He has supported the vaccine programme which is supported by all the major political parties I believe as well as the NHS.

It's then an individuals decision whether to have the vaccine or not.

Re: Where Did All the Forum Users Go?

I think part of the problem at the moment is no games to comment on or player movements. For chatting about HTFC I still prefer this forum although Twitter, which I also use, is such a big world. It may be one of two line messages but if the club tweet anything out, there are so many people commenti...

Re: Tribute To Matthew.

Absolutely gobsmacked when I read the website.

Matthew was one of the nicest, friendliest and warmest people I knew. He always had time to chat, have a joke and put the world to rights.
He will be sorely missed at Top Field.

My condolences to Marek and the family.

RIP Matthew

Re: The Day I Was Taught How To Lose

Dad (JohnTG) worked with Cyril Buck at ICL in Letchworth.

A wonderful man. An air of authority but also very down to earth. I have memories of him handing me Christmas presents at the ICL Kids Christmas Parties in the 70's.

Re: Prediction League Game 2020-21

At the end of the day it will be down to Steve and Roger to decide the best way forward.

I would be happy to donate my £10 towards a Fishponds Road End Roof Fund or transfer everyone's entry fee to next season.
I'm not so keen on a pools panel idea.
