Re: Chesterfield at Top Field tonight
All I can say to Jackie is please don't react to criticism. It's often better not to bother with having the last word and I think that's at the heart of the problem. Just make your point which very often is valid and leave it at that. Don't be too defensive.

A much improved performance
What a difference to recent performances. This was the best at home this season. OK so we didn't win, but for once we consistently took the game to the opposition and I thought unlucky not to win. Having had the most of the play and going close on numerous occasions it could have been a killer to go...

Re: Bedford Town v Hitchin Town
It's not just strikers that we need. We have a midfield that hardly ever gets over the halfway line and lacks creativity. The lack of goals is not just down to missed chances it's more a case of not making many. Another problem is a lack of aerial power up front. Most crosses go unchallenged. Corner...

Re: FA Cup Draw
Well I think Mark has got a big problem on his hands. Unlike many who seemed content, even pleased that we had picked up points by parking the bus whilst playing against some pretty ordinary teams, I have been of the opinion that we lacked any semblance of a cutting edge. Only one goal in four home ...

Re: FA Cup Draw
Got to agree with Steve. A card machine on one gate shouldn't cause too much difficulty.

Crying out for a cutting edge
A disappointing 0-0 draw today, when despite another trojan effort from the defence we barely created a clear cut chance for the second home game running. We were playing a team that were beaten 0-4 at home last week and for 75 minutes we were saying "we have to beat this lot", but for the...

Re: Vs Rushden
Lets not get ahead of our selves. Performances have been good, from the defence in particular, but the team still needs a cutting edge. I hope that Mark gets on the phone to his contacts in Luton, Stevenage, Colchester etc, etc, to bring in a striker. That could be the finishing touch that makes all...

Re: Early Kick Off's
With temperatures of 34C forecast for Saturday maybe a late kick off at say 6pm would be kinder to the players. Their safety playing in those temperatures must be questionable.

Josh Popoola
Where is Josh? Played against Luton but not seen since. Is he injured because I hope that he hasn't left as he greatly impressed when he came into the team towards the end of last season.

Re: TOMMY EVERITT
Gritty is one of the last words I would use to describe Tommy. He was one of the most silky smooth footballers I have ever seen in a HTFC shirt. One of the strengths in that great side was the contrast betweeen the players on the right side of the team to those on the left. The left side of Everitt,...
