Re: 2020-21 SEASON TICKET HOLDERS UPDATE

[/quote] Huge thanks to the Club’s Management Committee for giving fans the option of either a roll over of this season’s season ticket to next season or a refund. As you say in the weekly bulletin Chris, fingers crossed for a full, uninterrupted 2021/22 season. Hi all. You'll see full details of wh...

Re: VAR Does Not Work

What is really telling now is that VAR is not working to bring about consistency in decisions and even supporting the actual current laws of the game. Two handball scenarios (see below): 1. Fulham had an equaliser against Tottenham ruled out because handball was given (pic 1). 2. Liverpool were deni...

Loving these anecdotes Pete - it really is what being a Non-League supporter is all about.

Re: The Day I Was Taught How To Lose

A great piece Pete. I can only translate this to these days. The question about winning is a very interesting one. Sometimes it's harder to be comfortable when you've won than when you've lost. Easier if the opposition are let's say, not so gracious about the defeat. Doesn't happen often, but when i...

Re: FA Cup 1871/1872

Fascinating Anthony, maybe as part of the 150 year celebration of this, it could be arranged to have a rerun of the Hitchin v Crystal Palace & Great Marlow v Maidenhead with a final between the 2 winners ? strips and rules as were then would apply with say 30 minutes each way per game and strai...

Crowdfunder, Repairs, the stand etc.

Just to let you know that we will be having a meeting during next week to review all of the works undertaken at the ground so far, the works that are planned for utilisation of the Crowdfunder Appeal money. We will also discuss the Fishponds Road stand and make decisions on how we will address our m...

Re: Prediction League Game 2020-21

As you say Jackie, we'll have more clarity hopefully not too long after next week once Boris has set out his road map (whatever direction that takes!). Should the decision to declare the 2020-21 season completely null and void be taken, then a Pools Panel seems like a good idea. However it somehow n...

Re: Main Sign Board

Personally I love the idea at this time Geoff. If it evokes a memory for some of the passers by, it keeps them "in contact" with the club, even if at this time with a memory (pleasant or otherwise)

It's the uncovered wooden terracing that is the major danger Darren, as MJ Canary has just mentioned. Trust you are okay MJ Canary! This will be addressed as a ground-wide issue.
