It appears that the parents of the two crash victims were my Great Great Grandparents making these two men my Great Great Uncle's.

My mum's family are Turner's from Waterdell Lane in St Ippolytts.
I don't ever remember hearing this story, it's a bit before my time but it could well be they were relations of mine.
At one point I was related to four different households (that I knew of) in Waterdell Lane.
