Re: FA Cup Draw

Well I think Mark has got a big problem on his hands. Unlike many who seemed content, even pleased that we had picked up points by parking the bus whilst playing against some pretty ordinary teams, I have been of the opinion that we lacked any semblance of a cutting edge. Only one goal in four home ...

Re: FA Cup Draw

Got to agree with Steve. A card machine on one gate shouldn't cause too much difficulty.

Crying out for a cutting edge

A disappointing 0-0 draw today, when despite another trojan effort from the defence we barely created a clear cut chance for the second home game running. We were playing a team that were beaten 0-4 at home last week and for 75 minutes we were saying "we have to beat this lot", but for the...

Re: Vs Rushden

Lets not get ahead of our selves. Performances have been good, from the defence in particular, but the team still needs a cutting edge. I hope that Mark gets on the phone to his contacts in Luton, Stevenage, Colchester etc, etc, to bring in a striker. That could be the finishing touch that makes all...

Re: Early Kick Off's

With temperatures of 34C forecast for Saturday maybe a late kick off at say 6pm would be kinder to the players. Their safety playing in those temperatures must be questionable.

Josh Popoola

Where is Josh? Played against Luton but not seen since. Is he injured because I hope that he hasn't left as he greatly impressed when he came into the team towards the end of last season.

Re: TOMMY EVERITT

Gritty is one of the last words I would use to describe Tommy. He was one of the most silky smooth footballers I have ever seen in a HTFC shirt. One of the strengths in that great side was the contrast betweeen the players on the right side of the team to those on the left. The left side of Everitt,...

Re: The Elephant In The Room

We had a young team that was maturing nicely as the season wore on. We were kept up by a reasonable defence and goals from Jake Hutchinson. He is going to be difficult to replace and a lack of goals could once again prove to be our achilles heel. The loss of Alex Brown and (probably) Ciaron Jones is...

Don't see how Charlie could possibly have been a mistake. Superb throughout the season.

Re: Back or Sack

I am surprised that nobody has picked up Roy's comment "until our new stadium is in place making us more sustainable we will always be restricted". This is something that used to be a popular talking point but one that has fallen by the wayside in recent years. Given the recent large outla...
