Re: Time for change?
The club is better supported than many others in this league. It has what used to be a Supporters' Trust that apparently was the envy of many others. Whether it still is I don't know, as despite all this to me this is the weakest team that HTFC has fielded for a long time and I don't think the money...

Re: Passing, Passion,Pace and Luck
I don't think tinkering around the edge is going to do it. I think we need something of a rebuild. A bit like when Andy Melvin took over and we turned up one Saturday to find much of the side changed with several new players such as Rob Johnson and Aaron Tighe, but I suspect that cost quite a lot at...

Re: Passing, Passion,Pace and Luck
I'm surprised that nobody has come on here to show any anger at today's shambolic performance. The team looked clueless and despondent. No shape, zero penetration, hapless defending. We are supposed to have a supporters' trust that's the envy of the league so why have we got such a poor team? Why ar...

Re: Prediction - COALVILLE
Agreed. There was plenty of effort and we probably edged the possession stats, but once again there was no cuting edge, whereas the opposition scored two glorious goals without having a shot on target beforehand. As one fan put it on the way out "Nice and tidy but ineffectual".

Re: Three Decent Signings is All we need.
All we need is a creative midfielder, some pace up front, some quick feet to create chances near goal and some forwards who can shoot and head the ball.
Think it might take a little longer than seven days to put all that right!

Re: Who needs a 'number 10' ?
Can't see us being very successful this season without big improvements in some areas. 1. Better support for Callum Stead. He is asked so often to plough a lone furrow up front. I dread to think where the goals are going to come from should he move on. Others rarely look like scoring. 2. No one up f...

Re: Luke Brown leaves
Two of our stronger players gone. We were only middling with them, so some decent replacements could be very important.

Re: Where Did All the Forum Users Go?
It's a shame. I would have thought that given the age profile of our supporters that the forum and emails would still be their preference.

Definately not pre-war nor immediately post war. My guess late 50s/early 60s.

Re: ICKNIELD YOUTH FC - ET AL
Organised Sunday football didn't exist until towards the end of my time as a player, but there were quite a lot of 'friendly' matches often arranged at the last moment. None the less this often gave you the chance of being on the field with some very talented players. I often found myself alongside ...
