Wonder if George Dashwood Baker was related to the Dashwoods of Hell Fire club "fame"
The briefest of cricketing careers but no reference to the Hellfire Club crowd

Re: Ticketing 2022/23

One thing I would like to see is the option to take card payments on the turnstile for those supporters or casual visitors that still don’t or can’t use online banking! If it only puts another 10 or so on the gate it must be worth it? Just saying before I’m shot down! I have some sympathy with this...

Re: It can happen to any club....

Nah, unpleasant supporters who disrupted a play off penalty shoot-out at Corinthian Casuals after having too much lager. Required a large police presence to turn up and defuse the situation.

Re: Chris N

Belatedly congratulations to Chris on his semi retirement. Always very helpful to me when I was doing social media as he "got it" more than some and good to work with him and all the others who put so much into the 2015 celebrations (they all did a lot more hard work than me). I'll even fo...

Re: Presentation Awards Ceremony

I asked around and a reliable source tells me that Jake won players and supporters award. Congratulations Jake. I voted for you as clearly many others did as well. Reliable source must've enjoyed a good buffet! And "many" doing some heavy lifting there. Perhaps they also got mixed up too ...

Re: Kempston Rovers v Eccleshill United

Went to the Lancing v Newhaven Inter Step Play Off and again the home side came out on top despite being a goal down. This was the closest to a local derby and attracted 700 people! I have heard that the "powers that be" are keen to repeat these play-offs. In the past I can only recall the...

Is there any need for one when Top Field has never looked better in the last 50 years. Even if a new stadium was needed, I cannot see it happening as the club is at present.
Less than 20 years on the lease.

Re: Time for change?

You beat me to it RST. At 28, Trey is no longer a player waiting to fulfil his potential - sadly his best days were at Hitchin (& then he got an agent and it all went wrong). He couldn't even get much of a game at a shocking Braintree team and lasted there less time than Lucas. Apart from Will, ...
