Agreed. There was plenty of effort and we probably edged the possession stats, but once again there was no cuting edge, whereas the opposition scored two glorious goals without having a shot on target beforehand. As one fan put it on the way out "Nice and tidy but ineffectual".

All we need is a creative midfielder, some pace up front, some quick feet to create chances near goal and some forwards who can shoot and head the ball.

Think it might take a little longer than seven days to put all that right!
