Re: Hitchin v Tamworth today
It happened right in front of us. A sickening clash of heads with both players running flat out and jumping for the ball. Thought Jack Green was a little unfortunate to get booked, although the other guy was probably favourite to get there first. Tamworth trainer told us that it was a neck injury an...

Re: Time for change?
I felt really sorry for the team today. They threw everything at Rushden in the second half and were unlucky to lose. Give credit where it is due. In recent games and this one in particular they have shown great spirit despite their position in the league and if they continue to do so have a chance ...

Re: Not Too Much Damage Done
I thought our football in the first half hour was excellent. We played them off the pitch but they scored with their only attack and we squandered 3 or 4 great chances as well as several half chances. We may have thought our recent problem of not being able to put the ball in the net had passed but ...

Re: Happy At Step 3 or Boom & Bust? The Lessons of Gosport Borough.
This is all hypothetical. I and expect most others want to see my club succeeding. Who really wants to follow a team that is content to just stay where they are. No the lure of the game is in not knowing what's going to happen. The excitement of wondering if we are going up or of avoiding relegation...

Re: What a tonic
Well anyone reading my posts prior to Monday evening would undoubtedly have had me squarely amongst those doom and gloom merchants. All I can say is that I report what I can see and until now that has been pretty uninspiring. The nadir being the complete and utter capitulation to Needham Market. May...

What a tonic
Well, who would have expected it? Four goals and all of them good ones after hours between those in previous weeks. A well deserved win against a team that is riding high in this league. I really liked the way we pressed, maintaining pressure on the opposition throughout despite the inevitably high ...

Re: Time for change?
Maybe, but still 315 minutes since we scored a goal!

Re: Prediction - STRATFORD
I will not be too critical because as Pipeman said the team fought hard with little reward. However as well as Stratford defended this is a side that lost 7-0 at Biggleswade just two weeks ago that we were unable to penetrate even when they were reduced to ten men. In some ways this negated Callum S...

Re: Time for change?
The club is better supported than many others in this league. It has what used to be a Supporters' Trust that apparently was the envy of many others. Whether it still is I don't know, as despite all this to me this is the weakest team that HTFC has fielded for a long time and I don't think the money...

Re: Passing, Passion,Pace and Luck
I don't think tinkering around the edge is going to do it. I think we need something of a rebuild. A bit like when Andy Melvin took over and we turned up one Saturday to find much of the side changed with several new players such as Rob Johnson and Aaron Tighe, but I suspect that cost quite a lot at...
