Mickleover bowled over
Now that's what I call a performance :happy2: . This was by far the best that I've seen from the lads this season. Mickleover were blown away in the 1st half by 3 great goals from an attacking perspective, in particular Steve Cawley's 1st. Under pressure from their centre half his touch to bring a h...

Re: Crying out for a cutting edge
It was a frustrating draw but we did have a couple of chances to win the game. I didn't feel, as Brian says, that we were hanging on in the last 15mins but that's just my view. Basford offered very little in the way of football, preferring to hoof long balls for the wide men to chase. Our defence de...

Re: Josh Popoola
There goes another one, oh well. Good luck to Josh. It'd be good if he could get into their 1st team & play in the premier league so we can say he came on as a sub in a couple or 3 games at the end of last season .

Re: Hitchin v Rushall Olympic/Extreme Heat
I'm slightly baffled that the Southern League didn't postpone all games today given that, as Rupe points out, there is a completely free weekend on March 11th & all grounds fell within the 30+° temperature area. I stood behind the Lancaster Ave goal in the 2nd half &, whilst getting on in ye...

Re: Canary Corner
I have to say I'd completely forgotten Canary Corner. Did it end up as the programme hut which sold/swapped old programmes for collectors as well as the matchday one which morphed into a sort of club shop or am I making it up? I do remember Windy Corner, as Mick says, almost backed onto the fixture ...

Re: FRANK KING
Staggered by this news. He'd had his health issues over the last couple of years but despite that he still managed to sell me all those losing 50/50 tickets every week. Top Field has lost another loyal servant. Lovely bloke, will miss him, RIP Frank.
