Matt (middle name) Lench
Not why I first visited Top Field, as a disillusioned/lapsed fan of one of the 'shameful six' it took me a few years to bother coming down (indigenous Hitchin residents are probably fed up of hearing about us arrivistes priced out of London), but once I did I was genuinely captivated by the counter attacking style of play as you/we swept aside better funded teams.. Lench was the jewel in the crown though, unpredictable, slightly dishevelled.. everything you want from a flair player. Ever since then I've been hooked.

My dad's fault.
It was his fault I'm also an Arsenal supporter. At least it wasn't Stevenage or Spurs

Pessimists are never disappointed.

Close to Offley.
90 minutes stroll to the ground (anticipation), 90 minutes spectating (ups and downs), 90 minutes struggle home (pensive).

That's Still an impressive about of walking Anthony... It's a shame it was before I'm assuming the era of the 'Fitbit'!

Anthony, you may know or not know that one of our ground staff lives in Offley and I’m sure he would be able to give you a lift home after matches next season!
He would also, I’m sure, give you a lift to home games on Saturdays but you would arrive a little early as we start at 8am!

I did not know that, Steve, but the walk (in good weather!) is often the only exercise I get after extricating myself from the sofa .Steve wrote: ↑Mon May 03, 2021 3:25 pm Anthony, you may know or not know that one of our ground staff lives in Offley and I’m sure he would be able to give you a lift home after matches next season!

F.A.'s fault,
(...just for clarity its "Fred Andrews Fault", nothing to do with "the other FA" )

"My Grandads fault".
My Grandad George Chapman helped run the sweet hut next to the tea bar at the Fishponds Road end.
My second option was, "Turner, Martin and Giggle" Charlie Turner, Tony Martin and Paul Giggle. 3 of the best.
