On the BBC Sport website yesterday they stated that the first team to defeat Chelsea when they moved to Stamford Bridge in 1905 were Chesterfield on the 19th October that year, but I was told and if you Goggle it Hitchin Town were the first team to win there on the 14th October and the score was 2-3 in the Southern League!

Can’t believe they got that wrong !

Hitchin beat Chelsea Reserves; Chesterfield beat Chelsea's Football League side, I believe. I'm sure our Chelsea expert, Neil, will let us know!

Anthony you’re right... for Hitchin it was a first team game, for Chelsea it was not necessarily first team. I actually informed the BBC yesterday, tongue in cheek, that Hitchin were the first away team of any sort to win at the Bridge!
