Sorry but no matter what the team get slagged off.
We did play well in the first half.
And no I don't have rose coloured spectacles.
The problem is with the tsunami of posts competing with War and Peace I can no longer be bothered to post.

.

Anyway, I am genuinely interested who did the Twitter updates for the club today?
If I was a betting man I'd go for someone who has repeatedly given up their Saturdays / mobile data / phone battery to help support their local football club

Never criticise the one person in the entire club who gives up their afternoon to do the social media- not worth focusing on whatsoever. Ultimately we were let down by a lapse in concentration defensively and conceded two very good goals against a strong side. With regards to the post about Charlie Horlock being captain, I think he proved a point today…

When you watch a Non-League Club
You are not helping a Chairman buy his third holiday home.
You may be helping a young lad get his first break in football.
Or an old man keep the Club he played for 60 years ago in business.
Or a community retain their football club.

We are all volunteers.
We may not get it right all the time.
We do it because this is our passion.
All we can do is try and try again.

So support your local football team, and its volunteers without whom, trust me, you wouldn't have a local football club.

Spot on Russell and Freddie.

Could I propose an addition to the Top Field Regulations printed in each matchday programme?

Any Hitchin supporter who arrives at Top Field with any shred of optimism regarding that day's game will be taken to a secure area where they will be held in dismal conditions until they have had any trace of joy removed from their soul.

The club will not tolerate any displays of hope or expectation and anyone found in possession of rose-coloured spectacles will be dealt with in the most severest of manners until a solemn oath of defeatism has been taken.

We do hope you enjoy the game.

For what it's worth, lads played well but simply came up short. They did their best.

A crowd of 637, place buzzing, and if people do have rose tinted specs....SO WHAT IF THEY'VE HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE?

Will they come back again? Well 546 at the St.Ives game turned into 637 for this one. Shop takings today for a January game were an unprecedented high, 50/50 offered record prize money.

You can ask a Ford Fiesta to perform like a Ford Fiesta, but if you have Ferrari expectations of it of course you're going to be disappointed.

It's just really amazing how folks now look for the good so much more. Makes it all worthwhile.

Spot on.

Enough is enough I feel on recent comments without wishing to add to that.

Potential new supporters will read this forum and see what is being wrote and it's destructive.
