A link would be most useful to explain the origins in simple terms to both current and future visitors to this web site. The early origins of the Bury Mead and Cock Mead Trusts are a little unclear, however. Did they exist before the Hitchin Football Club first leased the Bedford Road ground in about 1873? Anyway, an interesting thread to follow.

I'm well aware of the history of the CCT as shown on their website. It's what happened BEFORE the CCT inherited the lands from the Bury Mead and Cock Mead Trusts that isn't clear. I thought my posting made that VERY clear. To repeat to me what is patently obvious is rather unnecessary, and you have wasted your time, Jackie.
