First photo is definately taken from the Fishponds Road end. Second is from the other end, with the old wooden east stand in the background. I remember the Supporters Club sign although not sure of why it was there. Possibly an area reserved for them although I don't remember it as such.

The buildings behind were used to make searchlights during the war I was told.
During long dry spells the outline of the foundations can still be seen in the grass.

Steve mowed the pitch in the evening using the light from the searchlights too
