Think this just about counts as Talk Hitchin Town FC as it involves which team we will be playing next season and which will be in the Conference North.
Peterborough Sports v Coalville
Crowd trouble at half time involving flares being thrown and people arrested led to the second half kick off being delayed by at least 30 minutes. Really sad that what should be a great occasion for the two clubs should be ruined quite probably by people who have rarely if ever been to see either team.

Congratulations to Peterborough who eventually won 2-0. Guessing their MOTM may have been the keeper who saved two second half penalties.
Re: Play Off Final
PS success without any question money based. The ground improvements they have made since 2015 and the fact they was signing players from 3 div's higher then shows they was splashing the cash then and most likely still are.
Re: Play Off Final
You want success you have to spend some money.
Re: Play Off Final
That is true but have seen several clubs promoted from our level down the years crash and burn when the well run's dry. Some have done it more than once...... Corby, Kings Lynn, Tamworth. All clubs that have been to dependent on others cash rather than what the club actually generates.

MONEY!Jacqueline Mary wrote: ↑Mon May 02, 2022 7:47 pmSecond that. Congratulations to a team that has had the most phenomenal rise over the past decade up several leagues through the footballing pyramid to achieve National League status. I’d love to know what their secret is.

Re: Play Off Final
Another play off final that could affect our next season's opponents was at Ware, where the home team lost out 2-4 to North Leigh. Ware had beaten AFC Dunstable on pens last Tuesday, and sixth placed North Leigh had defeated play off favourites Berko. Don't know whether we should feel sorry for Welwyn GC, who were denied a play off place due to ground grading issues? North Leigh's last two goals late on were scored by Jefferson Louis, a 43 year old ex-pro who once played for Oxford United and several other clubs; bravo to him!

Might be seeing a bit more of Colin Payne then, his son plays for North Leigh.anthony.brown wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 11:06 am Another play off final that could affect our next season's opponents was at Ware, where the home team lost out 2-4 to North Leigh.
