Never going to happen, understand why you suggest it but plenty of water breaks and they should be fine as temperature at 7pm won’t be much if any cooler.

And hand out 500 small bottles of water to fans as they come through the turnstiles. A one-off because I know its not very good for the planet.

Easy solution going forward I think and that's do away with August and make the season September to May (Not April like it currently is).

Been coming for awhile but this is what happens when you play what is traditionally a Winter sport in the Summer months.

Agree with Steve. I dont think later kick off's are the answer. It was certainly warm enough at Biggleswade the other night.

Still haven't worked out why our season started a week earlier than normal and there is a blank weekend on March 11th.

Not that this would have affected this Saturday with the heat as it would normally have been the first week of the season.

If you and the boys get time Steve, perhaps you could muster up a few electric fans along the cross bar and corner flags.Failing that, you could park cars around the pitch with the air-condition on and doors open. How about filling the ball with ice cubes, and every time it was headed, it would cool the brow, Del boy could replenish the ice every 20mins.Just a few suggestions, am sure there are others on here with their own ideas.

As I said in my opening post this topic was a continuation of the points raised on the early kick offs thread and extreme weather conditions do pose challenging issues.

I hope everyone thoroughly enjoys the game. ⚽️
Mine was a serious suggestion tbf. £150 tops and good publicity.

Games called off in Europe today. Things to come. FA will be advised in future to start season later as this is clearly a regular thing. Water for the crowd excellent idea.

Fortunately Tuesday's forecast is for some rain. I for one wouldn't mind watching 90 mins in the rain!

The highlight for me? The life saving presence of the ice cream van. Paddy (Beds Fire Cadet of the Year) and myself really enjoyed the ices.
