Anyone remember when we beat Heybridge 7-0 at their place?
Trying to remember when that was and who our manager was?
Andy Melvin or Robbie O’Keith?

Wasn't Mark McCutcheon in goal for Heybridge that day & is he Martine McCutcheon's dad or am I making all this up.

Hi Chris

As with all Hitchin Town games, you will need to buy a ticket online in advance

I associate him with Billericay, but I could be imagining that too!

All the best lads.
I won't be there (no pay on gate)
Fingers crossed for an away draw in the next round.
Gonna have to miss the WGC game too.

Hi Chris,

I sympathise and understand your frustration and your point of principle.

For me personally it makes no difference. But I do understand that many fans at the last minute would spontaneously fancy a trip to watch the game but obviously if you can’t pay on the gate at the last minute then it just won’t happen. We’ve debated this until the cows come home on here but I don’t think the club are going to change their view on this. But you’re not alone. Many other Hitchin fans agree with you.
Sorry Jackie but that's incorrect.

There's nothing stopping someone buying a ticket online right up until kick-off and even after the game has started.
I was helping with the ticketing outside the ground last week. We had some turn up who had decided on the spur of the moment to come to the game.
They went online on their phones outside the ground and brought a ticket. They then opened the email and produced the barcode. It's not that difficult.

Chris can I ask you a question.
Do you go to watch Chelsea? if so would you expect to turn up and pay on the gate?

You can’t compare Brian as all Chelsea games are usually sold out although some cup games are not and tickets can be bought from the box office at the game!
We are loosing fans as I know some who won’t come if they can’t pay on the gate as they don’t do smart phone or computers!
Simple solution is a card machine on one turnstile, not cash as I understand the reasons for that but we are a community club so let’s help people not turn them away!
One person has been a Hitchin fan for years and was a good friend of our late sponsor Peter and came with him to games but he hasn’t been to a game since before the pandemic!
