Prediction - MICKLEOVER

Post by steve.max »

There was a sense of foreboding among the supporters as Mickleover scored before they had settled behind the Mickleover goal. Having got caught cold Hitchin warmed to the game and went in deservedly at half time level. The second half was a bit scrappy with wayward passes by both teams but Hitchin were mostly in control and got the all important goal. Its a pity that when we go ahead, like today, we suddenly drop deeper and have to defend till the end and rely on a great save by Charlie to give us the three points. Although having got caught cold at the start this was once again a solid good performance by all. - Well done lads.

Congratulations to the prediction winners: Stuart Virgo, David Neale, Mark Crawley and Ray`s Rovers (2 in a row)

Great result.. Well done everyone who travelled! Got quite excited about our proximity to the play offs until I realised 20th place Alvechurch would go 3rd if they won their games in hand

Not showing too many signs of doing that having taken just one point from their last four league games and conceding three in all four games.

The joy of a great cup run can easily take the wind out of the league sails!

Well done to Hitchin though - played more games than almost everyone, but points on the board are always good.

Excellent result on the road.

Will take the points on the board over games in hand everytime. As only takes a few wet weekends and games being called off and they will be playing 3 times a week towards the end of the season....... Happened to us before!
