Jack Charles Brown

J.C.Brown is a new and much travelled addition to Hitchin Town Football Club's players.
Brown commenced his football career at school, playing for the Hitchin Grammar School for three seasons. Leaving school, he signed for Berkhampstead, and for four seasons played for that team. For a short time he played for Cambridge, and left that team at the same time as C.R.M.Cannon, the Hitchin goalkeeper. While he played for Cambridge that team beat Hitchin in the semi-final of the A.F.A. Cup, and lost to the Civil Service by four goals to two in the final. After leaving Cambridge, Brown played for Letchworth before signing on for Hitchin a few weeks ago. He has played in every position on the field, and is a very sportsmanlike and able footballer. Brown is also a very good cricketer, and plays for Bedford County C.C.
He is 23 years old, and is a bank clerk at Cambridge.
