CIDER AND CHEESE FESTIVAL

Post by MickD »

Before we get down to the football for another season, our annual curtain raiser is our Cider and Cheese Festival starting at midday on Friday week.

A Best of the West Country selection of real ciders that will sort out the ohhhhh arrrrs from the ohhhhh errrrs. From Gladiators to Screechers, and ginger to rhubarb there is something for everyone. And just to add to the appeal we have a couple of extra guest ales behind the bar to supplement our regular offerings of Doom Bar and Tribute. Fullers' Sea Fury is one and the other, as yet unannounced is a crafty little pale beer courtesy of Garden City Brewery. Ciders are just 4.20 a pint.

Free entry, live music and cider with cheese in abundance.

Lets make it a great festival - everyone welcome.

THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS THIS YEAR - SCREENBOND, LYNDHURST, FLIP CONNECT AND B & D CIVIL ENGINEERS

Please all see the music that we will be able to enjoy on Friday and Saturday. All local talent except Sophey Maye who is from New Zealand and has made some off her own great music.

Our own Tannoy lads Finn and Rowan Scourfield who have made a name for themselves in local open mic sessions and festivals.

The wonderful John Powell who I believe has played with The Cubanauts.

Willing Slaves, indie band covers lead by Rob Tutty who played for us previously.

Also welcoming back Hot Tub Steps expect a raucous end to the festival!

Not forgetting the Hitchin Glee Choir and the Sandy Ukelele band who will be kicking up off Friday night with some lively tunes, these are both always great fun.

Come and help support this local talent.
