A game of two halves today. I thought Welwyn Garden City played us well in the first half, but it was great that we continued to play decent football in the second half, rather than resorting to the long ball. A well deserved win in the end, though WGC certainly had us worried for a long time.
Two very well taken goals by Brad and Dan. They are both becoming regular goal-scorers of late. I thought Dan was deservedly the MOTM.
In the end, a very good result in a tricky tie. Bring on the draw on Monday!

Looked tricky especially at half time.
Some very good play and liked the cross field balls which mostly hit there target.
Glad the lads pulled through and got the result. Onto Monday!

Re: FA Cup v Welwyn Garden City
Thought Hitchin played well in the first half, having said that, we could have easily gone in at halftime two goals down. When we play that high tempo quick passing game which has been lacking at times, every game is winnable. So, that's how it was yesterday, but not quite clicking, with too many passes going astray, and rushed. We have not seen the best of this team yet,and it must be frustrating for Mark, as well as us,but it will happen.
Thing is, we are winning games without playing to our full potential, and at the moment that counts.
