FUNDRAISING

Post by MickD » Sat Jan 07, 2017 10:48 am

I was watching the News this morning to be advised that this is Sunny Saturday (or some sort of nonsense). What they meant was, today is allegedly the busiest Saturday of the year for online holiday bookings.

So, methinks, time for a reminder about making use of the Easyfundraising website, through which the Club can, quite literally pick up money for nothing at all.

True its pennies here, odd pounds there for most online purchases but when a family holiday can cost a couple of thousand quid then a 1.75% donation rate is worth bothering with. (Thomsons are presently paying at that rate on their package hols). Flight only bookings and hotel rooms through the agencies also yield similar if not greater percentages.

So, if you are thinking about booking something, why not go via the Easyfundraising access on this site and raise a little bit of cash for the Club?

Just think, if only all HTFC fans made all their online purchases through Easyfundraising!!!

If you look after the pennies etc etc.

Following on from Mick's post, can I reiterate how easy it is to use Easyfundraising - that may be where they got the name! It really doesn't take much extra time to go to your online shopping via the Easyfundraising website and HTFC will benefit.

I see that there are currently 34 supporters of the HTFC cause on Easyfundraising and in the last 30 days £75.78 has been raised. Wouldn't it be great if we could get a few more signed up and maybe the odd family member/friend would register too.

As with all football clubs, HTFC supporters are always being asked to chip in to help the club financially in different ways, but for this one you don't need to put your hand in your pocket but can still make a contribution.

Please do consider joining up.

I'll back up what's already been said - easy to use and raises money for the club for doing basically nothing more. Every penny counts.

Just earned the Club £2,99 by purchasing something on line for my Mother-In-Law.

As it's less than two months till Christmas, don't forget this oh so easy facility to earn the Club a few pennies. They all count.

Just to encourage those of you who might doubt the worth of easyfundraising, just received a cheque for £98.16 in respect of activities of supporters for first quarter of 2018. Keep it going!

Also of interest - principally to the winner is the fact that a certain Andy Dennis was a lucky £100 winner the other week in the Gold Bond Draw. Whilst the prizes are not exactly comparable with the lottery, the Club receives 50 pence of every pound spent, plus a 5% commission on big wins.

If you haven't already joined, please do so - application forms from the Club Shop or send me an email.

Just been on to Easyfundraising to get to Amazon to buy some ink cartridges.....since this initiative started £923 has been raised for the Club by supporters for doing nothing more than logging on through Easyfundraising to buy products online. Apparently I'm the ninth highest earning supporter!

Seriously folks, it takes no time to register, and costs nothing other than what you are buying! There is a drop down on the website under "About" then "Community", or you can go straight to it via the link: https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/caus ... hintownfc/

Every penny counts, and it takes no time at all.
