Although a trip to Wales midweek is not ideal, maybe a rest today (perhaps with a light training session?) after the exertions of Tuesday with a game against a possibly tired Dorchester team (travelling up to St Neots today) on Monday will work out well for us.

I guess if we ever go down the artificial grass route it will have to come with undersoil heating built in.

Perhaps all weather pitches should now be referred to as "Quite a lot of weather should be ok, but not if it's a bit too chilly" pitches. Quite catchy really

There must be a problem with their pitch as 4G pitches should drain well, as ours at the Arena does, otherwise their wouldn't be water lying on it to freeze!
Perhaps the drainage needs sorting down there.

Back in the day of the original artificial pitches, Luton had a tractor and seed spreader that put golf ball size balls of antifreeze down on the pitch a couple of hours before kick off to stop it freezing.

Quite odd that Merthyr v Hitchin should be off. I'm on way back from Newport and the weather wasn't esp cold and Newport's pitch, which had a rugby game last night, held up. Called off too early, probably, but maybe it suited MT to have Hitchin schlepp down there in midweek!

I'm afraid I'm cynical on these things, Jackie!
