all the good work the Trust does it has no influence on any decisions taken within the club whatsoever.

Not entirely true Jackie.
I also believe the reason the trust has been as successful and long lived as it is, is because it stuck to,and continues to solely concern itself with, contributing to the players wage bill.

Back to the topic of this thread, looks as if our mate Glenn is staying after all - what a shocker! :blahblah:

Who knows - we might draw them in the FA Cup tomorrow.

"I put myself out there and it was a risk. I made a mistake letting Harry Wheeler go. I have tried to get him back, but he doesn’t want to come back - I understand that. I have apologised to him in person, I have sacked him and I shouldn’t have done. I will learn from it and it won’t happen again.

“Until I meet an investor who is willing to take this club through the leagues I can’t leave,” he added.

“I made a promise to the fans, and it looks as though I’m going to stay because I can’t find anyone who is willing to put their hands in their pocket.

“I won’t hand the club to anyone who will let the club sit in this league and not continue the dream that I have sold.

“If in three weeks I haven’t found someone, then I will see the job through.”

And now they've poached the Hemel boss Dean Brennan. He must be mad, but I guess money-talks. :thud:

A former player of ours. A very good one as well.

And in one of the least surprising news items of this season, Dean Brennan departs from the land of the mural ->

I presume he was well-compensated for his time there but I bet he wished he had stayed at Hemel! No doubt that nice Mr Tamplin will charge over the horizon to become the next manager!

And a post script ... Brennan lasted less than a month at Kingstonian FC and got the boot after the Ks lost to the bottom three sides in succession. The success and stability at Hemel must seem a long way off now.

So what now? He steps down and gives the club up for nitto?

Something not right here but is it ever with Mr Tamplin?

The gift that keeps on giving. All this after Harry Wheeler departed as boss for the second time at the weekend - allegedly because he wouldn't give Archie Tamplin enough first team game time. Archie being Glenn's son.

And the expensive players that Tamplin brought in over the summer (from the Football League ... to play in the National League South) are now warming the bench. Expect another fire sale soon!

Will Glenn will make another of his mysterious recuperation trips to the USA soon? Will the mural be removed?

Rumour mill has it that Mr Tamplin has his eye on taking over another club.

Chelmsford or Braintree look favorites .
